The Best Bloggers: ‘Europe in My Region’ Campaign

The winners of the blogging competition Europe in My Region that was organized by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy have just been announced. The competition was part of the first-ever Europe in My Region campaign. Besides the blogging competition, three other initiatives have been organized in the framework of Europe in My Region campaign: the EU Open Project Days, a treasure hunt, and a photo competition.

The competition aimed to inspire EU citizens to discover and visit the EU-funded projects all over Europe. People have been encouraged to actively participate and to share their experiences and views about the EU-funded projects on social media. After all, Europeans should be aware of what added value the European Union brings to their communities.

By the end of June the competition attracted 40 blog entries posted on various blogging portals. The jury (Daniela Vincenti,; Craig Willy, European affairs writer; and Mathew Lowry, digital communicator) has selected the following three winning entries. You may read other excellent entries on Europe in My Region blog.
